WOW! Montréal in archival films

A lot of research goes into developing the content of our exhibitions. And in the course of that research…WOW! We come across never-before-seen archives, family photos, home movies, amazing objects, and people with moving stories to tell. Come and chat with Catherine Charlebois, our head curator, and the various guests she’ll be inviting to present these treasures from Montréal history.

For this third WOW! event, Catherine will be joined by filmmaker, artist and documentary researcher Caroline Martel. They’ll talk about doing research in the audiovisual archives for the permanent exhibition. They’ll reveal the challenges of this type of work, as well as the emotional experience of seeing Montréal’s past come back to life.
