Detours – Urban Experiences and A Mile in My Shoes

A Mile in My Shoes is a project created by artist Clare Patey for the Empathy Museum in London. Discover the inventory of this unusual store, where each pair of shoes is accompanied by an audio recording of its owner telling us about a life-changing event. Participants can listen to and discuss the stories as a group.
Videos are at the heart of Detours, a uniquely staged immersive exhibition that offers a glimpse into an unexpected Montréal. Montrealers share their fascinating worlds, which unfold in out-of-the-way corners of the city. These one-on-one encounters alternate with larger-than-life collective moments.
