Event description
The MEM is delighted to host the international symposium Streetstories / Histoires de rue where the street will be explored as an urban, social and political space. With topics ranging from sidewalk design and urban furniture to police surveillance, funeral processions and artistic performances, researchers from here and Europe invite you to rethink the street in all its dimensions.
The symposium is co-organized by Harold Bérubé, professor at the Université de Sherbrooke and fellow researcher at the GRÉLQ (Groupe de recherches et d’études sur le livre au Québec), and Christophe Loir of the Université libre de Bruxelles.
