On Thursday, November 26, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m., the MEM will be transformed into a giant pop-up thrift store.
Off-the-Wall Evenings at the MEM
Every season, the MEM invites visitors to a unique happy hour event. With music, drinks at the bar, and an original theme, the atmosphere is fun and relaxed. Welcome to our Off-the-Wall Evenings!
For this special edition, the museum will be turned into a giant thrift store. Check out the stalls, find unique treasures and perhaps leave with your next favourite piece of clothing. Here, every garment has a story to tell!
A pop-up thrift store at the MEM
Whether you’re into vintage fashion, used clothing or are simply curious, this evening is for you. Come and be surprised, chat with others and leave with a piece of clothing that will continue its story in your hands.
When clothes tell the story of Montréal
This Off-the-Wall Evening is part of the exhibition Le Cucitrici: Voices of Montréal’s Italian Seamstresses. Through the journeys of seamstresses in the garment industry, the exhibition highlights the expertise, passing down of traditions and stories behind the clothes we wear. Enjoy music, drinks at the bar and access to the exhibition all evening long.
More than a shopping experience, this event is an opportunity to think together about the value of objects, how we can reuse them, and the connections we have with our clothes. After all, memories are sewn into what we wear!
General information
This event is open to everyone. Your ticket gives you access to the entire museum and one free alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage. Enjoy this unique evening to discover the museum in a different way, amid second-hand treasures, conversation and ready-to-wear stories.
