Object Seeking Memory
Theme – Montréal: Sports City

The MEM is seeking memories around a key moment in the city’s history to document objects from Montréal. We’d love to hear your memories!

Event description

The MEM has a collection of objects from daily life in Montréal. We bring these objects to life by matching them with people’s memories. But some of our objects are orphans, with no stories about how they were used. They need your memories!

To mark the 50th anniversary of the Olympic Games, this activity is themed Montréal: Sports City.

We’ll show you some objects from our collection that are lacking information or stories — medals, tickets to sporting events and more. Do you have some great stories about the Summer Olympics? About how you discovered a specific sport in Montréal or a memorable match you attended? These objects need your memories!

We’ll show you the documentation we’ve been putting together at the museum. All stories gathered during this activity will be added to our collection catalogue.
