Event description

On Wednesday, October 28, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m., the MEM invites you to a Halloween evening like no other. Lead a surprising investigation in a festive ambiance with music and a cash bar open all evening.

A death that’s raising questions

The city is in shock! A person has been found dead at the bottom of a legendary Montréal pothole, nicknamed “The Abyss.” Was it a tragic accident, a stroke of bad luck or a carefully orchestrated crime? One thing’s for sure: the circumstances are more than suspicious.

For years, Montrealers have been avoiding The Abyss as best they can. Today, the pothole is more than a problem for traffic; it appears to be the scene of a crime. Who is the victim? Who might have wanted them dead? And why do some witnesses seem to be withholding information?

Beware of false leads

Explore the MEM’s spaces as you search for clues. Question suspects and compare their versions of the facts. Every detail counts but be careful: not all witnesses are telling the truth!

With orange cones, endless construction sites and unlikely detours, this fun event immerses you in a murder mystery inspired by Montréal realities.
