Event description

Our cultural programming around the exhibition Détours – Urban Encounters is an opportunity to meet the people in the videos and discover their worlds through original experiences.

During this activity, you’ll get to explore one of Montréal’s hidden treasures: the Saint-Leonard cavern! Fellow spelunkers Daniel Caron and Luc Leblanc, members of Spéléo Québec, will be at the museum to talk about this exceptional natural cave system, among the last remaining untouched spaces on our planet.

Also on Sunday, November 16, we’ll be holding a special exhibition in our public spaces that traces the discovery of the cavern in 2017 and shines a light on its underground ecosystems.
