Event description

As part of the exhibition Détours – Urban Encounters, our cultural programming invites you to meet individuals featured in the exhibition and discover their worlds through original experiences.

Dive into the distant and fascinating history of our region with Mario Cournoyer, a passionate researcher and collector, and founder of the Musée de la paléontologie et de l’évolution. The museum houses 80,000 fossils, mainly from Quebec, spanning hundreds of millions of years of evolution.

During his talk, Mario will introduce you to exceptional fossils from the Montréal area which, just 10,000 years ago, was submerged under water! A rare opportunity to explore traces of ancient life and better understand our geological heritage.
