Event description

For this last activity tied to the exhibition Keeping Our Memories Alive!, attend the screening of the film Lesbiana – Une révolution parallèle at 5:30 p.m. The director, Myriam Fougère, will be on hand at the end of the screening to answer your questions.

The film, released in 2012, is about a revolution born in the wake of 1970s feminism. Myriam Fougère embarks on a journey to meet lesbian writers, philosophers and activists who were at the centre of this parallel revolution. On her travels from Montréal to New York to Texas, she visits lesbians who, at a certain point in their lives, chose to live exclusively in the company of women. Archival photos and videos show how this movement was both marginal and international in scope.

The evening will continue from 7 to 9 p.m. with DJ Franklyne.

A great opportunity to visit or revisit the exhibition before it closes on October 12!
