Event description

The MEM is opening its doors to teens! Come chill in our free spaces, discover our citizen exhibitions, and take part in an activity.

For September, we have a new exhibition + activity combo lined up!

Have you visited the exhibition Keeping Our Memories Alive! by the Archives lesbiennes du Québec? Discover how, 40 years ago, four friends started to preserve archival material to document the history of lesbian communities in Montréal.

You’ll meet Fallon Rouillier, a historian who collaborates with the Archives lesbiennes du Québec. She’ll show you how everyday objects like photos, song lyrics and concert tickets can become valuable archival documents, used to tell a community’s history. With her, you’ll create a zine that expresses who you are, your identities and the communities you’re a part of.
