Explore your neighbourhood with a visit to the MEM, a creative workshop, and an exhibition where you can create connections and celebrate the French language.

Event description

Mon quartier en français is a chance to discover the richness of the French language in your neighbourhood.

Two-part activity to experience Montréal in a new way:

  • An outing to the MEM museum
    • Dive into the history of Montréal, North America’s French-speaking capital.
    • Explore your neighbourhood through archival photographs and maps.
    • Take part in a creative workshop where you’ll use building blocks to imagine an ideal neighbourhood and chat in French about living together.
  • n art workshop in your organization
    • Meet an illustrator and create personal cards comparing the neighbourhood in your country of origin with your new neighbourhood in Montréal.
    • Express your emotions and sensations through drawing, while building your French vocabulary.

Exhibition at the museum – Fall 2026

With your permission, we’ll display your work at the MEM. It’ll be a great opportunity to return to the museum with loved ones and share your vision of Montréal . . . in French.
